This appointment recognizes Mark’s decades of experience in bankruptcy law, commercial litigation, and dispute resolution. As a BDRP Resolution Advocate, he will serve as a neutral mediator, helping parties involved in bankruptcy proceedings work toward fair and practical resolutions through the Court’s pro bono Bankruptcy Dispute Resolution Program.
What Is the Bankruptcy Dispute Resolution Program (BDRP)?
The Bankruptcy Dispute Resolution Program (BDRP) is a court-sponsored mediation program designed to help resolve disputes that arise during bankruptcy cases without the need for prolonged litigation. Through confidential mediation sessions, a trained Resolution Advocate works with all parties to identify common ground and encourage negotiated settlements.
The program offers several important benefits, including:
- Reducing the time and expense associated with litigation
- Promoting efficient resolution of bankruptcy disputes
- Allowing parties greater flexibility in reaching mutually beneficial agreements
